Malheureusement, le concert de Mutiny on the Bounty du vendredi 14 juillet est annulé. Voici le message du groupe :
“We regret to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our show at Kulturfabrik scheduled for this coming Friday because of a personal emergency. As much as we were looking forward to seeing you again and presenting you what we’ve been working on these last few months, family comes first and we wouldn’t be able to perform for you.
We are working on rescheduling the show, but in the meantime, Kulturfabrik is working to refund all ticket buyers via your original method of payment.
Thank you for your continuing support.
Love,
MOTB”
Two years almost to the day, Mutiny on the Bounty returns to the Kufa stage on July 14, 2023. The Luxembourgish band will be joined by another famous local group who also rehearse at Kufa: No Metal in this Battle. For the occasion, Mutiny will be playing an all-new set and presenting some unreleased tracks!
Renowned for their electrifying live shows, Mutiny on the Bounty has never shied away from exploring new sonic textures while retaining their own distinctive identity. Now the quartet is ready to embark on the next chapter of what has been an epic journey. The band’s signature sound is a mix of heavy riffs, intricate melodies, lush soundscapes and complex rhythms that are both challenging and accessible.
Mutiny on the Bounty has played more than 700 gigs across Europe, the US and Asia, including appearances at several high-profile festivals such as Roskilde, SXSW, ArcTanGent, Primavera Sound Barcelona, Great Escape or Fusion Festival sharing the stage with acts such as Foals, Battles, Mumford and Sons, Biffy Clyro, And So I Watch You From Afar, TTNG and many more.
Post-pandemic, having got back into their live show groove, the band is ready for another shift in gear. Glitchy and electronic soundscapes will come even more to the fore as the quartet continues its quest for challenging yet catchy riffs and ethereal moods.
Formed in 2011, No metal in this battle came together after a decade of playing and touring in diverse screamo, math-rock and emocore bands in Luxembourg and abroad. Initially formed as a trio, no metal expanded very early to a quartet and released their first EP “the Husky tape” in 2012. A second EP (Ours) followed in 2015 and helped the band gain exposure internationally. After numerous shows in Europe, touring Germany, Belgium and France, playing festivals like Incheon Pentaport Festival (South Korea), Rock for People (Czech Republic), Galapagai Festival (Lithuania) or Primavera Sound Festival (Spain) and even a tour in Japan, their first full length album “Paprika” was finally released in 2017. Followed extensive touring as well as a tour in India highlighted with an acclaimed performance at Magnetic Fields festival. Since the pandemic no metal in this battle is focusing on jamming and improvisation, the search for the perfect groove and releasing new exciting material at a regular pace. Categorisation being a necessary evil, no metal’s is an eclectic mix of post-rock, math-rock, afro beat, post punk and krautrock. No metal’s roots can be heard in bands like fugazi, The Budos band, Soft Machine, Cave, Redneck Manifesto, Maserati, or the almighty Fela Kuti.
